The one thing that brought her out of her motherly trance was Tezca’s question. She snapped her head up and then blushed a light maroon.

As 0ne 0f the few female Grand Highbl00ds I have met, y0u and I were very cl0se in nature and thus, as a subjugglat0r, I felt it was right t0 wear the indig0 c0l0r and face paint appr0priately. “aaaaaah, that makes sense. THOUGH… WE WERE CLOSE?” She sank back into her throne, blinking a few times. The Empress Laena had said the same thing, though she had wound up getting very touchy-feely with her and kissing her and telling her that they had been matesprits, they could be friends… still didn’t explain the more tna friendly moves she made, but-

That caught her off guard. The only subjugglators Tezca had met were indigos. Tilting her head, she looked her over again. Well, it wasn’t exactly customary to wear face paint, even when one WAS honoring the dead.

She said while pushing a stray hair away from her face. Though the last words shocked her. No longer the grand highblood? What? So the rumors were true? She felt a little odd. She looked down and nodded.
